  We stayed at the Semiahmoo Resort 7/28 through 7/31/2019, and the Packers Kitchen & Bar is pretty much the only game around (but that's not their fault, so not dinging them for that :) ).
  
  We went there often during our stay; in fact, we asked for a room change when we were checking in and there was a little wait, so we went to Packers and sat on their outside deck (where our dog was allowed - they even brought him his own bowl of water!). We enjoyed a couple of drinks and their pretzel with beer cheese - yum!
  
  We came back for dinner that evening. Food was fresh and wonderfully prepared. If you go, you have to get their peel 'n eat shrimp - not only do you get quite a generous portion, but they were a nice size and very tasty, not bland at all, like shrimp can sometimes be. I had the brussel spouts; OMG - so delicious and their pork wing - very meaty and tasty. Honey had their Salish Sea Cioppino and enjoyed it. We did have a little issue with flies in the restaurant (the doors and windows are open - no way really to keep them out - screens, maybe?) and I did mention to the MOD that it took a little bit away from our awesome experience.
  
  Came back the next night - it was hot and we just wanted to sit on the deck (we had our dog with us), but the last table with an umbrella had just been taken. We saw on the other side of the building, on their other deck, that there were tables, but it didn't look like it was being serviced. I went inside anyway and asked if we could sit there and be served, and the waitress said, of course; let me come clean a table for you. We sat for just a bit, and because it wasn't an "open" area, I think they forgot we were there, so I went inside and saw the MOD, CarolAnne. I explained what was going on, and she apologized, and came served us herself! Throughout our entire meal! We had the shrimp again, and we shared a Caesar salad, added the flatiron steak - that steak was so well seasoned and prepared - very tender and delicious! And CarolAnne told us to pick out a desert to make up for the evening before (she remembered us!). So very sweet of her (literally  lol).
  
  While one would think a resort would have a couple choices for dining (there is the Blue Heron Grill, but the menu is almost the same and located off on one their golf courses), at least the one choice they have is wonderful. And the service we received was exemplary. If/when we get to go back to Semiahmoo, we'll look forward to dining here again.

  Horrible customer service. Called 5 times for  to go order, had to walk in instead, I have two kids in the Room 3 year old who is feeling sick and 4 year old with a hurt neck, already stressed out. (Not their fault obviously) anyways to dine in kids eat free but for take out they charge you $5 a meal per kid under 5 anyways when I asked and stressed my frustration they walked away which is the only reason for my low star rating I think they saw me grab a few manager calling cards so then they came up to me and started to try to make it up.
  
  I ordered lunch take out and wasn't charged so I didn't realize I was being charged for dinner for the kid meals.
  
  Food is mediocre it's a hit or miss depending on what you order, last nights dinner I got the bbq ch pizza on GF crust honestly it was bland, the salads are good the chowder is good, my daughters pasta was bland. Spent about $600 for two nights. The view is amazing
  
  *update* they gave me asparagus instead of Brussel sprouts, got to my room and called they said "oh yeah we are out of Brussels", well that would have been nice to know. checked my food and they also forgot my Caesar salad. She was nice enough to bring it to the room.

  My family and I came here at happy hour to celebrate a birthday.
  First off, the view is phenomenal! We sat outside with out four dogs and the staff and fellow diners were very accommodating. It was peaceful and quite, very easy to fully enjoy the amazing atmosphere this place has to offer.
  Staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. However the service was slow. Food took over 40 minutes to reach our table despite having so few customers. The reason may have been they were waiting for all of our food to be prepared at the same time considering all of our dishes arrived together.
  Some of the dishes were simplistic in taste, possibly considered bland. The chowder and fried calamari were the exceptions! I loved both, and considering I usually hate calamari, that is quite the accomplishment. The chowder was so flavorful and delicious, the calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The crab sliders were also good.
  The prices are what you would expect when eating at a beautiful restaurant along the water. If not slightly cheaper. Portions are small, but it was happy hour so that's to be expected. We'll have to come back sometime to try the dinner menu.
  
  In the end, we got what we were hoping for and overall were not disappointed.

  What a beautiful setting right on the water at Semiahmoo! We came for a late dinner and enjoyed the sunset while we ate our meal!
  
  The service was very friendly and quick.
  
  We ordered a few dishes and ate family style.
  
  The Fig and Blue Pizza was good. We thought that it could've had a bit more to it...maybe a drizzle of olive oil and honey would have finished the dish off nicely!
  
  The Asparagus Salad was good too but once again it could have had a bit more flavours it! I did love the fresh Burrata cheese...so yummy! We ended up topping our pizza with the ingredients from the salad.
  
  We also ordered the chefs specialty dessert...brown butter cake with an apple compote...yummy but I was expecting more flavour from the bourbon caramel icing. All of the ingredients sounded so good on the menu but the food itself fell kind of flat.
  
  Would come back for a glass of wine and some charcuterie just to take in that spectacular view!

  In a word...mediocre. I dined at the restaurant last night with a group and was disappointed with the service and the food. I have been coming to Packers the last 8 years on and off. The food is often overpriced and uninspired. I had heard there had been a change so we came to give it another chance, but were disappointed. As had been a common thread during all of these visits; service is friendly but also usually lacking.
  
  As for last night: We were sat quickly but the waiter took quite a while to take our drink orders. Once taken the drinks took a very long time to arrive, and they were incorrectly made. Our waiter was very friendly and sweet, he had new drinks made and brought them right over. We had to wait 20 minutes for one of our tap pours. For such an expensive place, the wine list is really lacking. The whole night our server was very nice but I think the restaurant was understaffed so we had to wait quite a while to get his attention for most things.
  
  The food was not great. We started with the calamari which was good, standard calamari, and probably the best dish of the night. The other items were lackluster. We ordered fish and chips (fish was dry and small but the chips were good), spinach salad (small amount for THIRTEEN dollars with so much dressing it was mushy), cauliflower soup (really bad, it had no flavor except black pepper and had three halfhearted brussel sprout leaves on top), the burger (ok, not amazing, NOT worth the price tag) and chicken wings (fine).
  
  I believe the restaurant is coasting on the location and that people don't have anywhere else to go. After a night of expensive mediocre food with slow (albeit friendly) service, I will likely not be back.
